The name of the form of verbs used to represent actions like *hugs*

I'm overjoyed to learn the name of a form for which I've been wondering what the name was for years. The form of a verb that is used to represent actions, such as *hugs*, is called the "Erikative" or "inflective". The former term derives from the fact that Erika Fuchs often used the form in translating Mickey Mouse comics into German, and the latter term derives from the fact that it is the stem form in German. Here is how I came across it: https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/Talk:*_* ... in_actions
Native: Punjabi, English
Studying: Japanese
